Scott`s birthday was crap. On benefits we can`t even afford a bottle of wine, so not even a birthday drink.

But to make things even more shitty four cards did not arrive for him : cards from his parents, brother and aunt and uncle, they posted them last week with cheques in them so he can at least buy something nice, well imagine it, its your birthday, you are 28 you get 5 cards cos the others are all lost in the post or the Royal mail is so slow it makes a constipated, arthritic tortoise look like an Olympic runner, either that or some nasty little bastard has pilfered the envelopes to see if there is any money inside. And to top it all theres not the money for a meal out or a drink even cos we are shit poor and both of us unemployable due to being cursed with handicaps and illnesses, theres just enough money to put a roof over us, food on the table and pay the bills but nothing for clothing ( we buy it on credit) and defiantely nothing for treats so no cinema, no drinks out, no meals out and definately no holidays. I worked really hard in my late teens, 20s and early 30s despite loosing all my jobs because I am handicapped with Autism because I simply cannot do team work, get along with my peers or obey petty rules and poor Scott he was curse with a low IQ and physical handicap but in the UK those few handicapped in work are in the lowest of low jobs forever and it shit accomodation in the poorest areas, some lucky Autistics do well out of sheer luck with their writing or art, but those sort of jobs and success are pure luck.

Back to my initial gripe, Poor Scott no cards from his family on his birthday, what a jolly bundle of merry laughs eh?

His mum visits tomorrow so hopefully we can make up for this crappy day as she does have a job and some money for treats and will at least be able to treat Scott, i managed to buy him a present at least, but its not the point.

You pay a small fortune for stamps these days for what? for nothing, Royal mail is an appalling service, just cos they think that 99.9% of the population do everything on line but believe it or not even the days of the e cards people do still send one another cards for their birthday and cheques as gifts or vouchers. So ROYAL SNAIL get your bloody arse in gear!!!!
